pool
1st off I write in code all day at work, so don't talk to me like I am some uneducated fool. NO I did not get my degree at your precious Baker. I got my degree in North Carolina.
Yes I do take my grandson to the beach for a month every year. So cheep I am NOT, I do how ever have issues with people getting ripped off. And if you cared about this country and the money you work hard for you would too. Assuming you work for a living!

Maybe not cheep(sic), but certainly illiterate. Must be your cheesy blue alma mater. Perhaps you should stick to ones and zeros. You had to start another blog to let us know this?

As the annoying poster who suggested taking the grandkids to the beach, I feel obligated to point out that I was just kidding and meant no ill will…
Sadly, finding a sense of humor in Baldwin is about as easy as finding a redneck without a handgun and a hair trigger (cough cough)…
Sorry for making light of your serious pool problem.

Although I agree that the pool closing so early in August is somewhat inconvenient for those who love swimming and sunning, I disagree that it constitutes a rip-off. This year there were no season passes, just punch cards. So you buy a punch-card and one person can go to the pool 20 times, or 2 people can go 10 times, or 4 can go 5 times. You can use it any way you want. If you got ripped off, it was because you neglected to use up your punch card. So invite a few friends and get your money's worth, or just go ahead and pay full price for a day at the pool. It's only a dollar more than you pay with the punch card, anyway.
My dc have taken the private lessons several times. It has always been just four lessons, usually Mon-Thur. So the July 4th holiday did not affect the number of lessons your gc received. I always found it a much better value than the class-type lessons. We tried it both ways and they learn a lot more from the private lessons.

You'll have to forgive all of us.
With the closure of the original Speak Out forums we rarely get a chance to pile on someone. Your post gave us the chance to release some of our pent-up venom.
Sorry, but with bigger issues looming - like plastic fish trees in Douglas County Lake - yours seems a bit trivial.
