BJHS League Track and Field May 8, 2008
The Baldwin Junior High School track and field teams competed at the Frontier League meet May 3 in Gardner. Three of the four BJHS teams won the team championships.
Kaitlyn Barnes, center, Baldwin Junior High School seventh grader, won the 100-meter hurdles Saturday at the Frontier League meet in Gardner. Barnes also won the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs. There will be a full story on the meet in Thursday's Signal.
Brian Wright, an eighth grader at Baldwin Junior High School, broke the Frontier League meet record in the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs Saturday. Wright ran 2:07.3 in the 800 and 4;48.63 in the 1,600. He also won the high jump by clearing 5 feet, 9 inches.
Chloe Hay, Baldwin Junior High School eighth grader, won the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs Saturday at the Frontier League meet.

Mark Harman, center, Baldwin Junior High School seventh grader, finished fifth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.44 seconds.
Louis Joslyn, eighth grader at Baldwin Junior High School, competes in the 1,600-meter run Saturday. Joslyn finished fifth in the race in a time of 5:39.8.
Monica Howard, Baldwin Junior High School seventh grader, finished fourth in the 400-meter dash. Howard also won the high jump and placed second in the long jump.
Shawn Berndt, an eighth grader at Baldwin Junior High School, sprints out of the 400-meter dash en route to his victory. He won the race in a time of 59.8. Berndt also finished runner-up in the 100-meter dash and third in the 200-meter dash.
Elizabeth Sigvaldson, an eighth grader at Baldwin Junior High School, finished third in the 400-meter dash Saturday.
